Sal worked with me for over 6 months to find a home in Henderson area. He really knows the real estate market. He does not waste a buyer's time driving all over and looking at property after property -- he targets specific listings that he knows the buyer will be interested in and will have a chance to make a successful offer on. Just a month ago, Sal Martines helped us close on our first home. The process, we'd been told by friends and family before we began it, was going to be a rigorous one. The most common phrases we heard were, "Don't get your hopes up," "Keep on trying," and "Don't settle." With Sal's help, the difficulties in searching for a home as a first-time buyer in a seller's market were hugely lessened. On the recommendation of friends and family who had worked with this Re/Max team before, we began the process with Sal's team member, Todd Akes, but when it became clear that most of our hunting was going to take place on weekends, Sal made himself available to us at the drop of a hat as Todd became another helpful resource on the very rare occasion that Sal wasn't available. He gave us sound advice every step of the way, worked tirelessly and vigorously to make sure our offers (and we only put in three in the month we were looking) were the best they could be and shown in the best light they could be shown in. To say that Sal's dedication led to our purchasing our dream house is an understatement. Without his hard work at all hours, we likely would still be searching. As a first time home buyer I didn't know what to expect and quite nervous over the home buying process. A colleague of mine recommended I get in contact with Sal after helping him purchase his home. When I met Sal for the first time I told him the type of home I was looking for, the price, and location. Sal explained to me the home buying process and a "game plan" of what course of action we should take in finding me a house. A great benefit of using Sal as an agent is that he was born and raised in Las Vegas/Henderson, so he has a great deal of knowledge of the areas and the types of neighborhoods that would be best suited for each individual. So don't worry, you will not have an agent that just moved to Las Vegas six months ago trying to sell you a home that they have no clue about the area. Sal was always one text, phone call, e-mail away. Anytime I had a question or concern Sal was quick to respond, I would even get "heads up" phone calls from Sal during the buying process.
